Bathroom & Household
Paying for household help is easy.
Finding one you trust isn't.
Which is why for most people it stays a good intention.
You ask around, get two numbers, call, no one answers. On the platforms someone different shows up every week. And the one recommendation from a friend hasn't had an opening for two years. In the end you do it yourself again – Sunday morning, instead of being by the lake.
I'm Michael, I live in the Tegernsee valley and I do this full-time, not on the side. You get a fixed person, a fixed appointment and an invoice. No rotating staff, no booking platform, no cash in an envelope.
What I take care of in the household
I work from a checklist, which I adapt together with you to your home at the first appointment. That sounds bureaucratic, but there's a simple reason for it: nothing gets forgotten, and you never have to explain what needs doing again.
- Bathroom complete: shower, tub, toilet, fixtures, mirror
- Limescale on shower cabin and fixtures
- Kitchen: sink, counters, stove, extractor hood
- Inside the fridge on request
- Microwave and oven by arrangement
- Vacuuming and mopping floors, all rooms
- Dusting including shelves and window sills
- Beds freshly made
- Laundry washed, hung up, folded
- Ironing by arrangement
- Rubbish sorted and taken out
- Windows on the inside on request
One-off or regular
Some book me once, because guests are coming or because everything piled up after a move. Most notice afterwards that the real benefit lies in the rhythm: if someone comes every two weeks, the pile never even builds up that you'd otherwise have to work through on a Saturday.
For the regular case there are three plan sizes – 6, 10 or 15 hours per month. They can be cancelled monthly, with no setup fee and no minimum term.
Why talhelfer
What you get out of it
Always the same person
You explain where things are once. Never again after that. And you know who's in your home.
By checklist, not by feel
The system comes from the hotel industry. It makes sure the shower cabin gets attention even the twentieth time.
Discreet
I don't talk about my customers or their homes. I only give references with express consent.
Invoiced, tax-deductible
You can deduct 20% of the cost directly from your taxes. That requires an invoice and bank transfer – you get both.
Transparent & fair

Frequently asked questions
What I'm most often asked
How much does household help cost per hour in the Miesbach district?
At talhelfer, a single visit costs 37.50 € per hour with a minimum booking of two hours, travel costs within the Tegernsee valley included. It gets cheaper with a regular plan: the plans cover 6 hours for €204, 10 hours for €340, or 15 hours for €510 per month.
How do I find reliable household help in the Tegernsee valley?
Look for three things: does the same person always come? Do you get a proper invoice? And is there a fixed, plannable appointment? If any one of those is missing, experience shows it won't work out for long. At talhelfer I come myself, you get an invoice, and your appointment is fixed.
Do I need to be home when you come?
No. Most customers give me a key after the first or second visit. You can go to work and come back to a finished home. If you'd prefer to be there, you're of course welcome to be present any time.
Do you bring cleaning products and equipment?
I bring my own products and cloths. I normally use your vacuum cleaner and mop, since they're already in the home. If you prefer certain products – for instance due to an allergy, natural stone, or oiled floors – I work with yours.
Can household help be deducted from tax?
Yes. Household-related services are directly deductible from income tax at 20% of the cost under § 35a EStG, up to a maximum of €4,000 per year and household. This requires an invoice and payment by bank transfer to my account – the tax office does not recognise cash payment. That's why the plans are always billed by invoice.
How often do you come?
I agree on that together with you. The most commonly booked rhythm is every two weeks for three hours – that matches the 6-hour monthly plan. For larger households or families, weekly appointments make more sense.
Do you also handle laundry and ironing?
Washing, hanging up and folding are part of the normal scope. Ironing I take on by arrangement – it simply takes its own time, and I should plan for that in advance so the bathroom doesn't end up being skipped.
How long am I tied into a plan?
Not at all. There's no minimum term and no setup fee, the plans can be cancelled monthly. If it doesn't work out, I simply stop.
